## Lecture 37: Sudan’s List Decoding Algorithm

In yesterday’s lecture, we finished the proof of correctness of the list decoding algorithm that can correct $1-2\sqrt{R}$ fraction of errors for an RS code of rate $R$. (This material is from lecture 37 from fall 2007.) Then we studied Sudan’s list decoding algorithm for RS codes of rate $R$ that can correct $1-\sqrt{2R}$ fraction of errors. (This material is from lecture 38 from fall 2007.)
