Lecture 37: Sudan’s List Decoding Algorithm

In yesterday’s lecture, we finished the proof of correctness of the list decoding algorithm that can correct 1-2\sqrt{R} fraction of errors for an RS code of rate R. (This material is from lecture 37 from fall 2007.) Then we studied Sudan’s list decoding algorithm for RS codes of rate R that can correct 1-\sqrt{2R} fraction of errors. (This material is from lecture 38 from fall 2007.)
